Boppy Pillow Review

I am one of the last of friends to have a baby so I had the benefit of seeing what all my friends used and didn’t use.

The one product that they all seemed to use was the Boppy pillow.

The Boppy is a horse shoe shaped pillow designed to fit around your body for you baby to rest on while nursing. It can also be used to prop baby up during play time.

I found that it saved my arms getting tired during long feedings and helped keep my baby in a better position during nursing.

I also used it for tummy time by laying him on top so that his arms hung over, he seemed to prefer this over being flat on the floor for a long time.

Currently I use it to help support him as he is learning to sit up, it provides a nice cushion if he falls over, I also still use it as a nursing pillow.

With its removable cover it is very easy to clean when those unavoidable accidents happen. The removable cover also means that you can change the way it looks very easily making it suitable for a girl or boy at a very low cost.

I would highly recommend this product to any new moms out there.

Review of the Boppy Pillow

Before my son was born, I debated over whether or not to purchase a Boppy to aid with nursing. I first decided not to purchase one, figuring I could use any old pillow. But upon hearing such great things about it from others, I took the plunge and purchased one. Thank heavens I listened to my friends! Since my son’s birth, my Boppy has become an invaluable feeding “helper.”

The shape of the pillow makes it extremely easy and comfortable to use, regardless of how you hold your child for feedings; its lightweight design allows you to grab and go, turning any location into a place for my little munchkin to comfortably grab a bite to eat. I speak from experience, having used mine multiple times in the backseats of cars! The slipcovers come in a variety of colors and textures, which allows you to personalize your pillow to your tastes. The slipcovers are also easy to slip off and on, making it a breeze to throw in the laundry. All “rough” edges, such as the zippered opening on the slipcover, face away from the body, which means there are no scratchy or uncomfortable pieces rubbing up against your skin.

Having a Boppy pillow really helped me gain confidence as a first-time nursing mother. Not having to worry about juggling and supporting my son properly allowed me to focus more on making sure he was getting the nutrients he needed. Whether you plan on nursing or bottle feeding, I would recommend the Boppy pillow to any mom looking to make feedings a little less stressful and a lot more enjoyable!

I was unsure if I would actually use the Boppy Pillow, but boy was I wrong. I loved it, especially for nursing. It made it so much easier for me and my baby, Ben.

Not only did it put him at just the right level for nursing, I also sometimes used it behind me to support my back when I rocked him. The slip covers come in fun, cool patterns and colors and make it so easy for cleaning.

Now that Ben is older and no longer nursing, the Bobby Pillow is still useful! Ben is sitting up on his own, but still a little bit wobbly. I can put him on the floor with the Bobby circling him and it offers just enough support to help him from toppling over. He loves to sit on his own without me hovering right over him. Of course I am still hovering, but a little bit further away. :0)

I am soo glad I got the Bobby, it has been way more useful than I had ever imagined it would be.

The Boppy Pillow is a must have for any mom… and dads too! Not only does it make feeding a million times easier but it also serves as a great place for baby to sit. The u-shaped design keeps it from slipping out from under your baby while they are eating unlike a normal pillow; even when your baby is a little squirmer. You can purchase different slip covers that reflect your unique style and are machine washable. I have two so I always have a clean one on hand.

The Boppy Pillow is definitely one splurge you should make, and thankfully the price doesn’t make it too big of a splurge 🙂

A Review of the Boppy Pillow

The Boppy Pillow is a pillow used by parents to help when feeding their infant, or to help prop the baby up in a variety of positions. I personally have 2 Boppy Pillows (1 for MY house and 1 for traveling). I do not know what I would do without my Boppy especially now that my daughter is 8 months old. I am a breastfeeding mother and this was pretty much a gift from God.

It was so perfect for breastfeeding – it gives the baby a soft comfy place to nurse and it gives the mother a well needed break. I mean us new mothers are running ragged as it is and it is so nice to sit down to nurse your baby and not have to support the babies weight the entire time. It would be ok for a newborn…but once your baby hits 17lbs. the Boppy is a neccessity.

And trust me I am not the only one who loves this pillow.

My daughter will not/cannot fall asleep without this pillow. She always falls asleep nursing so I pick both her and the pillow up and put her in her crib. Then after 15 minutes, when I know she is out for the night, I slide the pillow out.

The Boppy also really came in handy when my daughter was 6 months old. She learned how to push herself up from her belly into a sitting position, but then she would fall over and cry. So, would put the Boppy around her so it would cushion her fall. I never really used the Boppy to prop my daughter up but as a nursing pillow I must say THANK YOU to the creator!

To my relatives house, to restaurant or just a trip in the car… I always took it with me.

When I started breastfeeding it was really hard to find a comfortable position for me and the baby, but after I discovered the Boppy everything was much easier!!

Whatcha looking at????

Whatcha looking at????

I purchased the Boppy Pillow in anticipation of using it during breastfeeding. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, I was unsuccessful at nursing.

I am a first time parent and my son ended up being colicky. One day I placed him in the Boppy and his fussiness and crying practically stopped – I think the angle and support of the Boppy relieved some pressure from my baby’s tummy. Baby just loves being placed in the Boppy!!
